In the earlier days, most of them were very polite often asking before taking photos of you and allowing you to take a breather when you ask them. Nowadays, with the popularity of Cosplay at a fever pitch and with cameras and cellular phones with cameras more affordable than ever, droves of con-goers armed with cameras often flock to the larger conventions sometimes with the manners of a marauder. This is not a generalization, but to be honest, Photographer etiquette in the Philippines I believe is on an all-time low.
